slroy on Family Tree Circles

I am searching for information on my 3X Great Grandparents. His name was Lewis ROY born c1784 somewhere in Africa. He was brought to the US for slavery around the age of 14. He might have gone to Virginia before Kentucky. Have heard Lewis was a horse trainer on the plantation and eventually freed as an adult. He married Mary ?? and they had a son, William born 1824 in KY. Don't know if they had more children. William travelled to Australia in the mid 1850s. If anyone could help me break down this 30yr brick wall, I would be so grateful.
