He was born in 1814 in Wilkinson, GA. His father was John H. Taylor, Sr. who was born in either N. or S. Carolina. He was married to Nancy. I have discovered quite a bit about his brother, John H. Taylor, Jr.; but not much about him. Can anyone help?

My g grandfather,S. C. McCulley, is a mystery. What I know is that he married Elizabeth Hicks in Madison County, Virginia,in November of 1895. According to the marriage license he was born in Scotland and his parents were George and Susannah. He was supposedly an engineer and was a widower. That's all I know. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
