Your great grandmother Mary Elizabeth was born Mary Elizabeth MURRAY on the 14 September 1870 at Gingin Western Australia. The son of William Galbraith b: 1827 in Ireland. died: 4 January 1880 in Perth. and Eliza Jane "SCRIMPHETT" so says the certificate. I have seen the name SMURFORD as well. She came from Ireland and she died in Perth 2 December 1880
Edward Galbraith died on the 19 November 1936 at Latham, Western Australia.
I haven't found his grave but probably within the Carnamah district His death was registered at Moora but I couldn't find a grave there either.
All the information above was found in WA.bdm

Hi Kellie, I'm the grandson of Hubert Roy Galbraith.AKA "Darkie"
Hubert is recorded as being the son of Arundel Edward and Mary Elizabeth Galbraith.
Hubert Roy married Ethel Halls. my Nana and Grandad
Hubert was killed underground on the great boulder mine in 1951 when mum, Mary Jean Galbraith was 13.
Mumm had two sisters, Vera and Dorothy and two brother Cyril AKA charcoal and Doug.
Here is where it gets tricky, Charlie in mums' words was a " family friend", he was also an aboriginal man from research and family conversations I've had after mums' demise!
Interesting is Huberts aka and name he always went by " Darkie" and Cyrlis nickname " Charcoal or Charc". I am trying to find any records or anyone who may be able to shed more light on the whole history. Cheers Allan
