ALL USERS: New features at Certificate Sharing

Dear Members,

Certificate Sharing is a world-wide website created to share birth, death, marriage and baptismal certificates (written in English) with fellow historians freely. It now offers new features listed under existing features below.

EXISTING FEATURES
*Certificate Search - search for birth, death, marriage, baptism or all certificates on any given surname.
*Add Certificates to the website - note if a certificate that you upload is written in 'hard to read' script writing, a link shall be sent to you via email once it has been transcribed for proof-reading.
*Forum - interact with other users, post your 'surname interests'.

NEW FEATURES
*Photo Archives - you can now search for and/or add photos of your ancestors N.B. photos must be .jpg format and file size to be no greater than 500kb.
*My Messages - users can be alerted immediately if a contact is researching your ancestors.

ALL USERS: Surname Wikis (as in Wikipedia style)

More will be updated as time permits. All users: If I don't have a surname definition in the Wiki section, it means I am unaware at the present time. Please message me updating of the uncommon surname meanings.

Note to Users: Please remember to update 'Your Profile', country of origin is also helpful as this site is frequented by visitors world-wide.

Also remember to separate your surnames with a comma otherwise it will be one jumbled mess and other researchers won't know what names you are researching!!!

Please do let me know if you are aware of any outsanding websites pertaining to your surnames ... genealogy-wise.

Come on everybody ... write those journals!

Thank you, Alison.

ALL USERS: Update your profiles, and tell us your fave websites...

Dear FamilyTreeCircle Members, Hi. A warm welcome to all the new users out there.

If your computer is anything like mine, your Bookmarks toolbar folder will be full of all the favourite websites relating to genealogy. Instead of chokking up your PC, share with everyone your favourite websites. Just update your Profile on FamilyTreeCircles, and cut and paste the links in. That way if ever your computers chuck a wobbly (as they do LOL), you won't lose all your favourite websites that could take you ages to find again.

In addition, let us know where you are from in this big wide world of ours.

Who are you researching? Write a journal. And add all your surnames you are researching at the one time by entering them in the Bulk Surname Registration spot.

Happy hunting as they say.

Allycat, Queensland, Australia.
