I am researching the Cant family and Young family from Aberdour and/or Burntisland in Fife.
Cecilia Cant born 1859 and Alexander Young born 1855 were the adoptive parents of my gran (she was born Christina Archer Henderson in 1913). Gran had a twin sister, who passed on not long after their birth, as did their mother Helen Rennie (married name Henderson).

Brought up under the name Margaret (Maggie) Young, she was unaware of her Henderson heritage until 1933 when she went to get married.

Gran had an elder sister, Catherine McLelland Henderson born 1909 who was also adopted/fostered to another family and we have no further record of her post 1911 Census. Have tried all avenues to try and find Catherine but with no success (yet!!)

Also trying to find someone who may have family photo's of the YOUNG family and better still any photo's that may be around with my gran's parents (as we have none to speak of in the family).

Gran's father, William Henderson remarried and I have managed to find a descendant from one his children from this marriage. From there I did find a photo of grans "step" mother - although gran had no idea that was her family - even though they lived in the same town, Burntisland.
