Hi I am helping a friend in Thailand research his family roots his name is Jack Devitt. I am not a Devitt by birth but I do share some Devitt roots in my past. We are trying together to see if we can make a link between the two Devitt familys and see if they were both one and the same. He is also researching other family names linked to the Devitts and his research has taken him back to a Lord Bear whose daughter ran away with a coachman called Devitt in his employ. All he knows about the Margaret Devitt is she was a widow who was Sextoness for Killybegs Church of Ireland Parish but she also leaned towards Methodism its because our Devitt link in Ardara had Methodist connections also that he feels this is the sign the families must have been associated. Any help would be appreciated.
