Looking for Benjamin Chapman, born Berkshire England 1840 - 1850 ish

Hi everyone, I'm looking for Benjamin Chapman, born in Berkshire England
around 1840's to 1850's. He migrated to Tasmania, Australia 18?? and married Ellen Elizabeth Stubbs in 1870. All his children were born in Tasmania but I have no record of his birth date or parents etc. Any information would be appreciated.

Dear Grasshopper, I highly recommend that you go here RootsChat. Register as a new user, it is a free site also. Then goto their Emigrants to Australia board. See if you can find the topic mentioning 'Tasmanian Pioneers Index Lookup'.

Surely more details will be found on Death Certificates, then you can work your way backwards to England and then find this particular CHAPMAN family on Census records.

Please include in your journals what his wife's name was.
