Looking for Hanna Hale and Hopoie Haujo

Query by RebelRose

Looking for information on Hanna Hale. She was captured by the Creek Indians in 1777 from Rogers Fort, Georgia at the age of 11 or 12. She married Creek Chief Hopoie Haujo (Far Off) and had 5 children. I cannot find anything on Rogers Fort. Nor can I find anything on her before the capture. Can anyone shead some light on this? I am at a brick wall.

I am focusing almost all my time right now on Hannah, and MOST of what you are finding is probably incorrect. She was not born in Georgia, she was born in Glouchesthire England, in 1765. Her parents are Samuel and Elizabeth (HOPKINS) Hale. email me at jbagley79@yahoo.com and I will be happy to email you what I have.

Fort Rogers, was actually Fort Drury Rogers, and it was destroyed in a raid by the Creek Indians. Hannah was taken captive in 1777 at the fort massacre.
