I am looking for the Moss Family roots. My granfather's name was James C. Moss, born on June 19, 1889 in Payette, Idaho. I am trying to find roots of where they came from. I have names of family from James C. Moss to John Moss Sr. who was born in the year 1604, in Connecticut. I am really interested in finding my Great-Great Grandfather and his wife and their children. There names are Edward Jr. & Mary C. (Carter) Moss. Most of the rest I have found my self, with a few of other family members. Edward Jr. was born in the year 1815 New York and Mary was 1813 in New York also. I would like to get as much as possilbe because we are having a family reunion in Aug. and doing a family tree.

My Grandmother's name is Marie (Stirm) Moss, she was born on Dec. 4, 1894 in Payette, Idaho also. I have a little bit of information on her parents. Her father's name was William Frederick Stirm, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Where he came from I dont know. Her mother's name was Veronika (Popelka) Moss, she was born in Austria, she was the youngest of 13 children and raised in a convent. I dont know where. His year of birth was March 21, 1863: and her birth was Feb. 2, 1867.
