My Fitzpatrick family is on my grandmother's paternal side. They were Dysfunctional, and very poor.

I am searching for the desendants of my grandmother ( Elizabeth Rose Fitzpatrick Born abt.1900 on Jan.1st.)

Their names are; Bridget 5 years old and Patrick 4 years old this was About 1911.There were other children of whom I do not even have any trace of,Margaret,John,Agnes,Mary.

Hi Lorraine,

You can possibly trace decendants of your Grandmother back to Ireland! I came accross this today while researching the Fitzpatrick history. THis ladies name is Dr Colleen Fitzpatrick, she has been doing a DNA study on over 120 Fitzpatricks for the last 2 years and liking families through their DNA. I have just emailed her to find out more.

Good luck!

Hi Lorraine, It's a bit vague but I was told by my grandmother Mary Fitzpatrick, that one of her relatives (I'm sorry I'm not sure who) emigrated to NYC and became head of the police department there, I'm currently trying to research this and stumbled across your post! I thought i may as well inform you in-case it is relevant to you. When i gather more information I will contact you, and maybe you could do the same! Thank you for your time

Hi Josh,
Thank you for contacting me.I do not know of anyone at that period of time that was in the police force, but it could be possible one never knows!
Have you contacted Colleen Fitzpatrick on her website?? You would have the occasion of contacting and talking to many Fitzpatricks there and they would enjoy helping you, if they can.Look at Joanna's mail to me above,it has Colleen's e-mail.
Regards Lorraine
