I could only find the one marriage for Henry Lambert to Smith from 1915 to 1925, do you have a copy of the Marriage for Henry William Ernest Lambert to Ellen Agnes Smith.
Thanks. You are right - I don't know why I put Thomas. I do actually have a copy of this but I couldn't read Ellen's address so thank you, I really appreciate it.
I just saw your other post it looks like you have crossed over the names.
Ellen Agnes Smith & Henry Joseph Lambert are Grandparents and Henry William Ernest Smith is their son, if so the marriage above is the right one for Henry & Ellen.
There are two births for Ellen Agnes Smith in 1895
Births Mar 1895 (>99%)
Smith Ellen Agnes Lewisham 1d 1211
Births Dec 1895 (>99%)
Smith Ellen Agnes W. Bromwich 6b 881
you would need to purchase the certificate to find out which one is yours there is also the possibility that she was registered as Ellen Smith and Agnes was added later.
This could possibly be her death
England & Wales, Death Index: 1916-2005 about Ellen Agnes Lambert

The death certificate may provide further clues and the birth date would suggest that the Lewisham 1895 Birth could be promising.
Thank you very much. Yes I think that this is the right one for my grandmother. My father predeceased my grandmother and this must have been hard for her as he was an only child. I will now try to get her birth certificate. Thank you once again, I really appreciate this as I have been trying since 1996 to obtain info on my grandmother.
I am looking for all info to do with my father's side of the family as I left the UK as a young child and had no contact with my father.
I found this marriage for Henry W E Lambert is this your father
Marriages Jun 1940 (>99%)
Lambert Henry W E Orger Uxbridge 3a 302
Orger Kathleen D M Lambert Uxbridge 3a 302
according to a family tree on ancestry Kathleen Daisy M Orger was born 28 Jan 1920 Islington and died July 1987 age 67 in Hilligdon
Yes I believe this is right as I knew my father married a lady whose name was Kathleen Daisy Maud but never found her surname. Did my father and Kathleen have any children?
It doesn't look like Henry & Kathleen had any children, copies of their death certificates will give you more information and possibly list any children they may have had or adopted.
For information on UK BMD you look through this site it's free to search and will give you the GRO reference numbers for the certificates that you may need to purchase.
