"PHILLIP DAVIS" he married Linda Isobel Blecher, Australian born to Allan Mitchell Parker Belcher, in Melbourne, Victoria.

Also, I heard a story about my grandfather changing his surname when the family immigrated from Ukraine, during the Progum of 1905.

Phillip died in Sydney, NSW

I never knew his parents named directly, but I heard the name Ruth and Ada, but I do not know enough.

Have you ever considered obtaining a copy of the 1931 marriage certificate. Should include parents names, date and place of marriage, age, residence and birth place for the bride and groom. The details on the certificate will also confirm what you do not know and is money well spent.
