It appears Max and Eliza may have had their first child in Australia in 1920 and this tells you they arrived in Australia in 1920 or earlier. Shipping records are available at the Public Record Office for these years. Not knowing the year of arrival or name of the ship they arrived on means searching all the passenger lists from 1920 and working your way backwards.
