According to his obituary he was born in Pennsylvania and he has a sibling who went by the name Ida Bennett at the time of his death. I found some sort of paper filled out by my mother at the time of my brother's birth listing my grandfather's mother with the first name Ida, same as his sister. I was able to locate an entry for his marriage certificate to my grandmother. The certificate was issued 02/01/1951 in Richland County, South Carolina. I know he was a Sgt. Maj. in the army, served during the Korean war and at various times he was stationed in Weisbaden(sp?), Germany and Panama.
