Looking for imformation on Peter Pruden in Edmonton, Middlesex, England

Query by PrudenHBC

John Peter Pruden was born in Edmonton, Middlesex, England on May 28, 1778, his parents were Peter Pruden born 1752 and Margaret Fraser born 1756. They were married in Edmonton, Middlesex, England in 1777.

John Peter Pruden came to Canada on the HMS Seahorse 111 as an Apprentice to the Hudson Bay Company when he was 13 years old.

I have an extensive genealogy of him and the family from the time he came to Canada but I do not know very much about his family in England and if anyone has any knowledge of Peter Pruden born in 1752, it would be great to hear from you.

John Peter Pruden had a sister named Christian Pruden who married Edward Harriott and one of their sons came to Canada as an Apprentice as well. The rest of Christian's family stayed in England.

Dear PrudenHBC, Hi there. Welcome. The information you seek may turn up at RootsChat.com - England - Middlesex. Join up as a free member, then post a new topic in the Middlesex Lookup Requests and/or check out their Middlesex resources.

No doubt other genealogists/family historians have researched this family too.

I usually do a global search of any surnames I am researching at the homepage of rootschat, then I check out their one name interests to see if my names are in there as well.

If you start sharing the information you have here on familytreecircles I'm sure you will be contacted by descendants.

Best of luck, cheers...
Alison from downunder.

Hi Alleycat, thank you for your help, I will follow your suggestion and thanks for the Welcome, nice to meet you too...I'm not sure how to share my family tree but when I figure it out, I will add it to the site.

Good luck in your searches as well,
from Pat on the Island

Your welcome Pat. Click on PRUDEN, I created a surname wiki page.

At present you can't upload your family tree to the FamilyTreeCircles website (but I'm sure that facility may be available in the future...you never know).

Click on my nickname 'allycat' and have a read of some of my journals on my own family tree research. I started by breaking my tree up into individual families and writing journals about them making sure to add the surnames at the bottom.

Signing off now...Happy New Year everybody! 31/12/2006 5.07am

Alison.
