My great grandfather Salvatore Di Stefano was born in Calatafimi (Sicily)in 1869. Two of his brothers are said to have migrated in the US at the beginning of the last century. I've already found out that Filippo, his brother born in 1876 migrated to NY in 1906. He probably settled there for a while. He was followed one year later by his wife Antonina and their one-year-old son Vincenzo.
One peculiarity of this family is that the sons are either called Salvatore or Vincenzo most of the time.
The other brother called Vincenzo born in 1885 is supposed to have come later but I didn't really find information about him.
Filippo wrote to his family until W.W.II.My father, Salvatore Di Stefano who now lives in France, would like to know a little bit about this American family above all because he is the latest member of Salvatore's family to bear the name of Di Stefano - he only had daughters- Thank you for your help !
