I did a search of the Historical Births, Deaths and Marriages of New Zealand and found one possible birth record of your grandfather:- Keith KINNIBURGH birth registration no. 1905/21730, born 1905 New Zealand to parents Percy James KINNIBURGH and Edith MARKS who had married earlier in 1904.

Hello jojeans,
Your grandfather (if it is the correct one) is also related to me somewhere along the way through the GASKIN line

Your great great grandfather was John William Kinniburgh who was born in Wellington in 1848.
He married Elizabeth Gaskin in 1875 and they had:

1876 - John Herbert "Bert" Kinniburgh
- John married Ethel Alice Elton

1878 - Percy James Kinniburgh
- he married Edith Marks and they had Keith Kinniburgh in 1905

1882 - Hilda Alice Kinniburgh
- she died aged 10 days and is buried in the old Symonds St cemetery

1887 - Eva Jane Kinniburgh
- she married John Frances Teal Rogers

John William Kinniburgh's parents (your great great great grandparetns) were the ones who emigrated to Wellington New Zealand on the GEORGE FYFE which left London on 16th June 1842 and arrived in Wellington on 7th November 1842

They were David Kinniburgh (aged 21) a carpenter, and his wife Jane Fidge (aged 24)
- 3 months after arrival in New Zealand they had their first of 11 children:
1843 Elizabeth Jane Kinniburgh
- she married George Brown
1844 Charlotte Amelia Kinniburgh
- she married William Widdop
1846 Annie Kinniburgh
- she married Phillippas Carmen
1848 John William Kinniburgh
- he married Elizabeth Gaskin
1849 David Fidge Kinniburgh
- he was a Private in the Wellington Rifles and received the NZ War Medal, he died aged 26 in 1876
1850 Mary Ann Kinniburgh
- she married William Richard Waters
January 1852 Emma Kinniburgh
- she married Charles MacIntosh
December 1852 Ellen Kinniburgh
- she married Edward Stafford
1855 Lucy Kinniburgh
- she married Alexander Murray
1858 James Watkin Kinniburgh
- he married Naomi Colebrook
- he was also the first Mayor of Avondale, Auckland in 1922 (If you click the link at his name you will find a link on that page which leads to a photo of him)
1860 Alice Kinniburgh
- she married Charles Hill

I have a couple of early photographs of your Mother Barbara, taken by my Father Robert Kinniburgh. ( deceased )( Keiths brother ) I am Alistair Kinniburgh. I also have somewhere a military group which includes Keith ( taken in WWII in the UK, Artillary Corps I think)
Let me know if you are interested.
Kind Regards,
Alistair

I knew your Nanna as a young boy, she lived in Hastings on the East Coast of the North Island, and came to visit us with your Mother in Palmerston North quite often ( always with presents for the children )
She would not recognise my first name though ( I changed it! ) Your inital post is a little old, I wonder if diane is still with us? if so you might like to say hello from my Mother who is now 92!!

A shame you were unable to respond, they are probably both deceased by now, I know my Mother has since passed away
