I have a few OHL families in my 'tree' that settled in Queensland, Australia in the late 1880s originally from Germany.

For instance, there's a Bernard Julius Albert ZAHL who married 1906 QLD Australia Isabella Henrietta OHL and they had five children that I can find. Bernard's parents: Wilhelm Zahl and Emilie Luther.

Any connections? My interest is DENLEY/OHL as I'm researching DENLEY for my brother in law in my family tree.

Mary ROCKS daughter of Nicholas ROCKS and Isabella RUNNING married Detlef (or Desley or Detly) Frederick OHL son of Johann Fredrich OHL and Henrietta Wilhelmina FRUBOIS or FROBOS.

Detlef & Mary OHL had 13 children that I can find: James, Nicholas, Isabella, Alfred, Charles, Elizabeth, William, Frederick, Mary, Catherine, Emma, Albert and Terence.

Would like to know if you have more information on WILHELM & EMILIE ZAHL and their children. I have the shipping list, no father included.

Re ANASTASIA ROCKS: some questions there, was NICHOLAS married to ISABELLA RUNNING prior to coming to Australia. Have found another marriage for NICHOLAS in Australia, and the two JOHN ROCKS & BRIDGET how do they fit in and who do they belong to ???

Auguste who? Zahl or Ohl? I don't have this name in my tree (yet).

Don't yet have any marriage details when/where for Nicholas Rocks and Isabella Running. Her surname also appears as Rooney.

I only know of one John Rocks, and he was a younger brother of Mary, died young.
