Trying to Desperately Find
i am doing this on behalf of an 87 year old lady that is looking for a relative by the name
of Samuel Gratrix,believed to be roughly from the Cheshire District,not much is known of this
person or the family,but it is believed[not verified] as this lady doesnt know much about the family,but knows that in some way they are related,maybe distantly but she would like to know if she is for sure.
She had heard that there was a lady named Eliza that fitted into the picture somewhere but unsure if this is true
all of this is now just coming to light for her after so many years,and she would desperately like to find out she says 'before she goes and its to late' so please can anybody help please please
The easiest thing to do is construct a family tree for the old lady. Then see where Samuel Gratrix comes into it.
How old would Samuel Gratrix be? Would he be her age or older. Many Gratrix people were born in Cheshire, but probably less than 10 Samuels. An approximate date would be a good start.
Hi, I'm new to this site, but not new to the subject. Was Samuel a relation before or after her marriage? (if she ever married) It would be helpful to know the old lady's surname before and after marriage (if she discovered the relative after marriage).

Samuel Gratix 1751 Lincolnshire,England and died Dec,23,1841 Lincolnshire, England.
Married first on 4/14/1775 England to Frances Page.
Married second on 1/15/1789 England to Ruth Dinnes.
Samuel's parents are William Gretorex (Notice spelling of last name) and Elizabeth Perryman (This could be the lady named Eliza). Samuel also had a daughter named Elizabeth plus 9 other children. Hope this helps you and is the correct Samuel.
