Funny Ancestor Story: James Kinsey Brown
When my Great, Great Grandfather, James Kinsey Brown, returned from fighting in the Civil War, he married and had four daughters. He named them Annie ATLANTA, CAROLINE Jane, Fannie MISSOURI, and Sally VIRGINIA for wars he fought in.
Looking for info on Susannah Harper born near Bentonville, NC about 1787
Susannah Harper is my great,great grandmother and I am trying to get a birthdate for her to put on a marker in the small private cemetery in Wilcox County, GA where she is buried. I understand her parents were John Harper, III and his wife Anna living near Bentonville. Susannah married James Brown in 1813 and in 1815 moved to what is now Wilcox County, GA. Based on the Wilcox Co 1860 census she was 73 years old at that time, so that would make her birth year about 1787. If there are any old records or Harper family genealogies available that would indicate her birthdate, I would be most grateful and would, of course, pay any expenses in connection with locating the information.

Looking for Susannah Harper, born c.1789, believed to be born of John Harper,III and Anna Wiggs of Bentonville, NC. Susannah married James Brown in 1813 and they moved to Wilcox County, GA about 1815. Hope for DOB. Thank you.
