It would help if you would give some first names.
If you go to familysearch.org and type in Swain in the surname,
and North Carolina you will find a number of Swain families
in the census...

This is all fitting in well with what I have but the dates I had been given are wrong, and had already found a few wrong one, not so bad when they are only a year or 2...
