Looking for Information on the Howard Family

I am researching the Howard family from Partington in Cheshire. James Howard was born in 1847, his father was Joseph Howard. According to family information, James Howard worked at Dunham Massey, a Stately Home in the early 1870's. Towards the mid 1870's James moved to the Liverpool area and married Christina Pennington. James worked as a carter and rumour has it he used to stop at every pub along the Dock Road in Liverpool, leaving his horse and cart waiting outside for him. James and Christina had several children,Christina, born in 1877, Thomas,1878, Harriet,1879, Margaret, 1883 and Frederick born in 1888. The family lived in the Bootle area for many years, if anyone has any information could you please get in touch.

William Elliott

My great great grandmother, Mary Kelly was born in Liverpool in 1850. In 1870 she married William Elliott at the Parish Church in Liverpool. The marriage certificate states that William's father was a wesleyan minister.
Her first born child was my great Grandmother, Mary Elliott born in 1870.

18 months later, Mary Kelly remarried at the same church to John McKeown. My great grandmother Mary Elliott then became known as Mary McKeown. The strange thing is that the second mariage certificate states that Mary Kelly was a spinster even though she had been married 18 months earlier by the same priest in the same church. I cannot find a death certificate for William Elliott and his father, William the minister doesn't appear to have ever existed? The Methodist church have no record of him.

McManamon and McMahon family

Patrick McManamon was born between 1831 and 1837 in Ballycroy, County Mayo. He came over to England in 1861 as a result of the potato famine in Ireland. He married Bridget in 1862 in Preston, England. Patrick and Bridget both worked in the Cotton Mill in Preston. Between 1864 and 1868 they had 3 children, Thomas, Ann and Bryan. In the 1871 census it shows the family living at an address in School Yard in Preston. I believe the family left the Preston area in 1871 or 1872 and moved back to Ballycroy in County Mayo, Ireland. Bryan the son returned to Preston in the early 1890`s. He married Mary McKeown and they lived in Preston until 1913. After this date the family moved to the Southport and Liverpool area.
For some reason the surname changed when Bryan returned from Ireland to Preston from McManamon to McMahon. The rest of the family remained as McManamon.
I believe a couple of family members emigrated to America and the rest remained in Ireland.
