Hi im trying to trace my great great grand father George why (as he was named) from canton china

we know his name was changed when he arrived in sydney via boat from canton,, not sure of the vessel

we think he may have been born around the 1865's

he married a lady by the name of mary terese weldon
married in 1898

george why was a cook in sydney

ive found census information from cumberland area

and 116 reservior street

george why died 27th dec 1915

i would love to know what his name was before it was changed ,,, i would love to go and visit where our heritage is from... my dna comes back showing our cantonese decendency

any pictures information , previous names,,, anything would be so helpful...
