Hunt Family, originally from Suffolk, UK, and then 1854-2014 in Victoria, Melbourne. First ancestor to arrive in Australia was Joseph Hunt in 1854, he married Elizabeth Wilkins and had 8 children and lived in the Camberwell, Burwood area of Melbourne. Joseph Ernest Hunt, like his father was a gardener and involved in the Flower Grower's Association of Victoria. He presented the Duke and Duchess of York a posie of a new variety of pansies and violets, now named the Duchess of York Pansy.
