Descended from Ludwig and Anna Semmler nee Richter; arrived from Nekla Hauland Poznan 1861. Ludwig had 3 brothers already here, Johann Gottlieb Semler, Friedrick Semler and Christian Semmler. Their parents were Marten and Anna Maria Semmler nee Rattey. Marten's parents were Anton and Anna Semmler nee Kantzen.
Anna Semmler nee Richter's mother (Anna Julianna)and siblings also came to NSW, one branch leaving SA for Riverina NSW.
