Charles C. Sibley and Elizabeth L. Hornsby Amite Co Mississippi

My Sibley's are from Livingston parish, Louisiana, but originally they came from Amite Co. Mississippi. Charles C. Sibley and his wife Elizabeth Hornsby had eleven children. That is as far back as I have gotten. Anyone else researching this line of Sibley?

I haven't found the exact year that my Sibley's moved from Mississippi into Louisiana, but many of the children of Charles C. Sibley have settled in and around the Livingston Parish area in Louisiana. My grandfather was Fondren Courtney Sibley and his father, William Pinkney Sibley, was a locally well known fiddle player. He did shows on the radio in the 1930's. I have found his radio show times listed in Baton Rouge newspapers, for the station "WJBO The Baton Rouge Radio Station" as "Pink Sibley and his orchestra." "Fiddlin' Pink Sibley," as he was called was the son of Albert Grey Sibley and Albert's father was Charles C. Sibley.

I have found endless relatives buried in the Sibley Cemetery on Corbin Road, Walker Louisiana. I am also related to the Mack, Hull, and Ballard families that live in the Livingston Parish area. I would enjoy talking with anyone else who may be researching relatives of these same family lines.
