DOVECOTE

Interested in descendants of GEORGE ALEXANDER DOVE an engineer at Jagersfontein South Africa.

George DOVE left Thames New Zealand around 1873 and worked in the diamond mines. Married Sarah CRANE. Three children, George Frederick, Alexander Henry and Hannah Jane, known as Dolly. George died 1892 aged 50 yrs. His sons had many children including sons so there could be numerous descendants. His daughter, known as Dolly married Robert James BRIGHTWELL. Robert died in Durban in 1945 and Dolly in 1946 while she was living with a daughter, Clare STEENKAMP.

Looking for Ringross of New South Wales 1855

A Mary Bourne married Thomas Conry in N.Z. in 1845. Thomas, a solicitor, died in Auckland in 1850. Their first son died at seven months but a daughter was baptized in 1849.

I have not found the death of the daughter, but on 2nd December, 1852 in the paper "New Zealander" the entry shows Mrs. Conry left Auckland by the brig, "Raven" for Sydney. No child is mentioned.

I found a marriage in the New South Wales Records V1855496 101/1855 for Thomas Ringross to Mary A Conry.
The ceremony seems to have been Catholic and Thomas Conry was a Catholic.

I am interested in information.
