Bio

I've started working on my families genealogy. The surnames for my mother's side of the family are Fannin, Pack. Lyons, Borders, Wiley, Sellards, and Shelton, all originally for KY. Nt grandfather James Samuel Shelton moved from KY to McDowell County, WV, as did my grandmother Bessie Fannin. The Fannin, Pack. Lyons, Border, Wiley and Sellard families were/are all related. I need information about all these surnames, but particularly my Grandfather Shelton.

My father's family are the Sizemore's from McDowell County, WV. My father was Earl Lindsey, grandfather was Robert Harrison, ggrandfather was Owen. My grandmother was Lula Elizabeth Taylor Sizemore. Again, any information anyone has regarding this side of the family is appreciated. I have almost nothing about my Grandmother (Taylor) Sizemore.

I'm now retired; I worked as an Environmental Engineer for a major chemical company in Charleston, WV. Before that, I worked for the Dept of the Interior, western CO, as a mining geologist and palentologist. Seems like once a person gets coal dirt in their blood, they have to do something with it. Being a mining geologist was a better job than that of a coal miner.

I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. I enjoy reading, my 2 big, big dogs, time with friends, making jewelry and, of course, genealogy.
