I have traced my Gallagher side back to my great, great, great, granfather who is Hugh Gallagher. His father was either William or Steven, depending on who you talk to. . My grandfather was John A. Gallagher b: 1900 d: 1969.
I have Williams father as another John Gallagher. I sure could use some help clearing things up. Sometimes I think the Gallaghers had no imagination with John, Hugh, and Patrick for first names.
