I am looking for the ancestry of James N. Shepherd and Eliza Higginbotham Shepherd (around mid to late 1800s) Most of their children settled in the Chesapeake, West Virginia area. Their son, John Braxton, was a carpenter and helped to build the Dupont plant in Belle, WV.

I think that James N.'s father was Isaac Shepherd who married Margaret Morehead in Fairfax County, Virginia in the early to mid 1800s).
