Henry Crossan, born 1750,died 1826 Somerset County PA. WHO WAS HIS FATHER?
I was told Henry's father might be Valentine by another researcher. She passed away before she could check it out. Her daughter was kind enough to let me know of her passing. She had been to PA at various times and at that time she could still access the actual records in churches, etc. This was around 20 years ago that I was corresponding with her, so she had been researching for many years when we connected.
HENRY CROSSAN Born 1750 Died 1826 PA Dutch descent
Died in Milford Township, Somerset County, Pa. He was a Private in the Rangers of the Frontier 1778-1783. Married CATHERINE CRAFT. Centerville, PA Lutheran Cemetary Records.
HENRY JR born 1780. MAGDELENA born 1784 DAVID born 1791 ISAAC born Dec. 8, 1799
JAMES Born 1804 SAMUEL no date
HENRY Crossen Jr. died Jan 10, 1845 in New Centerville, PA Married ELIZABETH.
DAVID Crossen Died May 28,1868. Buried Centerville Lutheran Cemetary near Uniontown, PA. Wife was SUSANNA LOHR born 1797 Died Feb. 23 1884. Susanna in later life lived in South Milford Township,Somerset Co. PA, with her daughter JULIEANN Long.
This information came from a book by Mrs. Donald W. Taylor of Virginia published in 1975.
The book continues the descendants of HENRY JR. and DAVID Crossen sons of Henry. It goes to their 7th generation, if anyone wants that information.
My line is ISAAC,HENRY'S son, born 1799.
