I am mainly researching my mother's HILTON family, who were mainly from the Summerseat area near Bury in Lancashire England. Summerseat isn't a large area but there are lots of HILTONS!! Rather than just following the parental line, I am more interested in the family as a whole during the 1800's, consequently my interest has diversed into other branches of the family. The main surnames being HARGREAVES, KIRKHAM, THORNBER,ROE mostly in the Lancashire area. There also seems to be a connection with the Leicester area which I am following up at the moment.
Some of the family emigrated to Australia/USA but I don't have enough information to post requests yet.

My fathers surname was DAVIES, but I have only a little information, and DAVIES is such a common surname, my paternal research has been put on the back burner for now.
