I have been researching the surname of COUNTRYMAN and have discovered that both my husband and I have the name in common. My Mother's Mom and my husband's Dad's Mom. They come from the same area in Iowa but in all the websites I have looked at I have not found a name that overlaps. My Great-Grandfather's name is Charles COUNTRYMAN. He died in Sumner Iowa. My Husband's Grandmother's name is Mary Evelena COUNTRYMAN. Her family was from around Kossuth Iowa. If anyone could possibly help me see if the families are related or we have a different branch of the same name.
