Looking For Wilkersons From Jennings Creek

I have been looking for a John V. Wilkerson and can't find any such person, but I did find a William V. Wilkerson. I also have relatives in Bedford Co., the Bryants and McKinneys, who used to run Bryant's Plant Farm. My aunt Idelle (Lyle) married Ed Bryant and they had two children, Marva Jean and Ed. Jr.

Looking For Wilkersons From Jennings Creek

I have found out from a relative that my grandmother's father's name was John V. Wilkerson and he was from Jennings Creek. He is buried at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery in Lexington, VA. My grandmother was born Nov. 14, 1889. When her mother died, her father married a Markham/Marcum. Her mother and two sisters are buried in an old cemetery in Arcadia, VA. I don't know their names. I have looked through the Markham family tree and can't find a Markham who married a John V. Wilkerson. I would love to hear from anyone who knows who this Markham was who married my great-grandfather, or anyone who is familiar with the Jennings Creek Wilkersons.

Looking For Wilkersons in Virginia

Yesterday I found out from a relative that my grandmother's father's name was John V. Wilkerson and he was from Botetourt County, VA. He is buried at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery in Lexington, VA. My grandmother's mother is buried at the old cemetery I mentioned before, at Arcadia, on private property near the Jellystone Park campground. I still don't know her name. But she and two of my grandmother's sisters are buried in this cemetery. I hope to find out more about my great-grandmother Wilkerson.

Looking for Wilkersons in Virginia

My paternal grandmother was Lula Agnes (Wilkerson) Lyle. I do not know who her parents were or where she came from. I only know that when her mother died, her father married a Marcum. My grandmother has relatives buried in an old cemetery on private property near Natural Bridge, VA. My grandmother married Weldon Osborne Lyle and they had 10 children. They lived first at Goshen, VA where the Boy Scout Camp is now, then later moved to West Augusta.
