My g.grandmother arrived on the John Knox in April 1850. I believe she went into Hyde Park Barracks as she is listed on the wall. She could not read or write and her parents were dead. She was a true Irish orphan. I cannot find any details of where she went or who she was employed by. There dosn't seem to to be any information on the ladies of the John Knox at this time. There must be records somewhere. I can find her from 1852 but not from when she arrived till then. Can anyone help me please,any suggestions?. I have been looking for years to no avail.
