I am seeking any information regarding the families and histories of James Jones (born 1788) and his wife Rachael Gallaher Born 1792)who left together from Washinton County Virginia circa 1812 to settle in present day Martin County Indiana. Rachael was the daughter of Joel Gallaher and Elizabeth Dickerson Gallaher (source: FamilySource.org). Her paternal grandfather was Hugh Galliher (with an i instead of an a) who may have emmigrated from Ireland. To my knowledge she had one brother, Joel (born 1794) who served in the War of 1812.

I have no information on the pedigree of James Jones, but these two were my great-great grandparents and I have detailed information on their descendents.
