Peebles, the oldest employee of the firm, with a handsome tea and coffee service. On behalf of the firm Nr J. R. Duncan presented Mr Edkins with a cheque. Mr Edkins leaves for the North Island shortly

The adjourned case of Carl Evensen, who was charged with having disobeyed an order to contribute with having disobeyed an order to contribute towards the maintenance of his children in the Wellington Receiving Home, was called on. Defendant failed to appear and he was sentenced to three months imprisonment, execution to be stayed for seven days and it the amount of the arrears £38 19s, be then paid defendant to be released from custody.
