Looking for a photo or information he lives in middx there was a photo with fern leaves around taken in new Zealand.
He served in the Taranaki Militia during the NZ Wars and achieved the rank of Sergeant.
I don't know when he arrived on NZ but he seems to have arrived well before his family.
