Joseph Charles Nathan b 1846 d 1908 & Emma Penfold b d 1889 are my gg grandparents.

Joseph is one of the 11 Children of Henry Nathan & Jane Hearne.

I have a so little history of the Nathan side of our family, but the name has featured in my Grandmothers name(Emma Nathan Perry & now my Aunt (Rita Nathan Redshaw), so I have always been aware of the connection. Only recently my Mother gave me a Platter that has an engraving " Presented to the wife of JC Nathan 1905 by the Manawatu Lodge"

I am looking for information on my G Grandmother ELIZABETH MARTHA BRODERICK. b 1873?

Who were her parents and where do they come from originally? What I do know is Elizabeth Broderick was in NZ when she married my G Grandfather EDWARD HENRY HOLT in 1896 He was born in 1868 newzealand. I think he was a butcher.
