He lived in Tennessee and Missouri. He married twice, one with Susan Jane McCaughan in Knox County, Tennessee on March 1, 1830 and had 8 children. Then he also married Matilda Cuthbertson in Gasconade County Missouri on Oct. 6 1867. He was possibly born in either Ireland or Scotland or even England.
