David Laidlaw Gordon was born July 18 1843 in Greenlaw, his parents were Margaret Gordon and Peter Laidlaw.
They were married at Maxmill Parish of Gordon 8th October 1861 and then left Scotland to come to New Zealand.
Jane had 15 Children from 1862 to 1881. David 1862, Alexander 1864,Jane 1866, Andrew 1867, William 1868, John Pagan 1869, Charles 1870, Robert 1872, Thomas 1873, Margaret 1875, James 1876, George Christie 1877, Peter 1879, Sarah Ann 1880,Henry Watson 1881.
The children married and have familys in New Zealand.

James Mitchell Glover was born in Melbourne Australia 1859 and died in Napier New Zealand in 1908.
He married Fanny Louisa Masch (Blackwell) (my granmother) in 1895 in Napier New Zealand.
They had 7 children from 1986 to 1908. All there children were born and died in New Zealand.

What I have been told about at this present stage.
Joannis (John) Blackwell born 1804 in England died 1889 Southampton, married Annae Fraser of Lovatt in 1842 in Alverstoke Isle of Wight.
Children Edwardus White Blackwell born 1843 Portsea. Rodrick F Blackwell born 1847 Portsmouth. Then I have Anna Elizabetha Blackwell born in 1845 in Portsea but with a fathers name as Guliemi Blackwell (William) maybe Joannis brother not sure at all on that one . Hannah Sophia Blackwell born 1848 in Portsea. (She is my Great Gran Mother).
Hannah married Jan Van Englebert Masch born in Holland and died in Portsmouth in about 1878. Hannah then moved to New Zealand with her three daughters. Gertude Annie Marie Masch, Florence Beatrice Sophia Masch and my Gran mother Adelina Hildred Maud Masch. Would love to swap information on this family.

I am looking for a Donald Gordon McGregor born about 1864 possibly in New Zealand and was a farmer in Oamaru. My granmother Adeline Hildred Maud Masch was born in the Isle of Wight 1878, in 1895 she married a James Mitchell Glover in Napier. He died in 1908. In 1914 she named Donald Gordon McGregor on my fathers birth certificate. He was 50 in the year 1914 but her name was listed as Fanny Louisa McGregor I can find no record of a marriage. Also can not find a birth certificate for Donald. In 1916 she marries a David Gordon using Fanny Louisa Glover as her name nee Blackwell which is her mothers maiden name. Im thinking that because of the time he maybe had a connection to the war maybe didnt come back. As she was known as a widow moved away when she became pregant. I cannot seem to find anything for Donald saying he exsisted except the mention on my fathers birth certificate which had a caviet over it. Any help would be wonderful. Many thanks.
